From camera check to conversation
- Open video chat and allow camera and microphone access.
- Check your preview in a well-lit space and keep your face visible.
- Add interests if you want, then press Start to join the queue.
- When a compatible person is available, your call connects. Use Next to look for someone else, or Stop to leave the queue.
Find common ground
Add and remove interests before a conversation or while chatting. Changes apply to your next match. Random mode can match you with anyone; Interests only requires a shared interest and does not fall back to unrelated people. Narrow preferences can mean a longer wait.
Country preferences depend on availability and can broaden when the pool is quiet. A preference is not a promise of a local match. See how matching works.
What your partner can see
Your partner sees the camera view you share and hears your microphone when enabled. Video and audio are encrypted in transit and use relays so the call does not expose your network IP address to your partner. That does not hide your face, your surroundings or anything you choose to share.

If a call does not start
Waiting for someone and connecting a call are different. A quiet queue needs another compatible person; a connection failure may involve permissions, a camera already in use, or the network. Follow the troubleshooting steps, or use text chat without a camera.
