Safety on Whodis

Stay in control of your conversation.

Whodis is for adults 18+. Learn how to leave, report a conversation and protect personal information when talking to strangers.

Adults only

You must be 18 or older. Report suspected underage use. A face check or phone-verification badge does not establish a person’s age or identity.

Leave and report

You can end a conversation with Stop or look for a different person with Next. Open Report, check that the selected conversation is the one you intend to report, then confirm. You do not need to select a reason. Reports enter the moderation queue for review.

Do not stay in an uncomfortable conversation to gather evidence. Reporting is not an emergency response service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Keep identifying details to yourself

Avoid sharing your address, workplace, school, financial information, passwords or private contact details. Check what is visible behind you. Another participant may capture what you share, even when the service does not record full calls.

Understand the privacy boundaries

Calls use encrypted relay connections, which keep your network IP address out of your partner’s call connection. The service and relay provider still process connection information. Authorised staff may inspect live sessions; messages and moderation snapshots have retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.

No guarantee of safe behaviour

Reporting, staff review and security controls cannot prevent every unwanted interaction. We do not promise that every live session is watched or that harmful content will always be detected before you see it. Leave when something feels wrong.
