Do I need an account?
No. A private guest cookie keeps your mutual connections in this browser. Clearing site data creates a new guest identity and loses access to the old one.
How does matching work?
Choose text or video, add interests, and set your spoken or practice language. Interests only and strict language preferences stay strict; country preferences can broaden when the pool is quiet. Waiting time depends on the people available; the online count is not the number ready to match.
What can I do when the queue is quiet?
The queue explains current availability and offers an explicit way to broaden preferences. Scheduled community sessions, when published on the homepage, help people arrive together.
Can I talk to someone again?
Choose Stay in touch during the conversation. They appear in Connections only if they make the same choice. When both people are online and free in the same chat mode, one can invite and the other can accept. Invitations expire after one minute.
How do reports work?
Report the current or a recent conversation and track the report reference in Connections. A report stays attached to the chosen room even if you meet someone new. Clearing site data can defeat guest-based continuity.
Are conversations stored?
Text and GIF messages are retained for moderation for up to 30 days. Moderators can inspect live video sessions and periodic snapshots; snapshots are retained for up to 90 days. Calls use encrypted WebRTC transport. See the privacy policy for the full retention schedule.
Is it free?
Guest text and video chat, leaving and reporting are free. Optional Plus passes add features when available. Unavailable purchase services do not accept checkout through the interface.
Does a badge prove someone is an adult?
No. The service requires users to be 18 or older. Phone verification confirms control of a phone number, not age or identity. Report suspected underage use.
How does translation work?
When translation is available, choose Translate on a received text message. You see the processing provider before confirming. Only the selected text is sent for translation and the original remains visible.
Why is my camera hidden when blur is on?
The outgoing view stays protected while blur loads or if it fails. You can deliberately switch blur off or restart video. Blur can make mistakes and is not a guarantee of anonymity.
Why can’t video connect?
Camera permissions, device availability and network restrictions can prevent a call. Check the preview and device controls, try the microphone test, or switch to text. The application shows a warning when relay connectivity is unavailable.
