Random video chat lets you meet someone you have not chosen in advance. That also means you cannot assume their intentions, identity or conduct. No service can guarantee every interaction will be safe.
Before you connect
Read the age rules and find Stop and Report. Check your camera background for addresses, documents, family photos and other details you do not want to share. Keep passwords and financial information out of a chat.
During a conversation
Leave if you feel uncomfortable. Do not follow unfamiliar links or accept pressure to move to another service. Another participant may capture what you share, regardless of the chat service’s own recording policy.
Understand what reporting does
On Whodis, reporting links a moderation case to the conversation you select. Review the selected chat before confirming. Reporting does not guarantee an immediate response and is not an emergency service.
Know the privacy boundaries
Whodis uses encrypted relay-only video connections so your partner does not learn your network IP through the call. The service and relay provider still process connection data. Authorised staff can inspect live sessions; messages and moderation snapshots are retained for the periods in our Privacy Policy.
No account requirement is not the same as complete anonymity. Your face, voice, background and voluntary disclosures may identify you.
Whodis is for adults 18+. Read the Rules and Safety before using it. This guide is published by Whodis and is not an independent safety certification.
